Drab6 Fishing Charters - Lake Trout & Brown Trout

Lake Trout season opens January 1st and runs thru September 31st. The Lake Trout limit is 2 and only one of those 2 can be between 25 & 30 inches.  In Lake Ontario and the Niagara River the average size of a lake trout is ten to fourteen pounds.  The state record of thirty-nine pounds and eight ounces came from the mouth of the Niagara River.  In these lake trout waters, you have an excellent chance at catching a twenty pound trophy.  Brown trout is not out of the question either. This is one of my personal favorite trips.  Anglers of all skill levels have fun, these fish are plentiful and are easy to catch.  The fighters that they are tend to dive deep, I've had  fish that took a half an hour to boat, we wear these fish out!  The best numbers come February to May. In the winter months we target these monsters in the river, come March they are plentiful on the Niagara Bar. The Niagara bar is located at the mouth of the Niagara River as it enters the Great lake of Ontario. The Old Fort Niagara is withinin view on this fishing adventure. This Lower Niagara River fishing charter leaves from the very scenic Lewiston Landing boat launch in Lewiston, NY. Bring your camera, this is a fishing trip you won't soon forget. The Brown Trout does seem to be a little more elusive and are hard to target solely, but there are days we can't shake them off.  The season for Browns coincide with the Lakers but only need to be 15 inches in length.    LETS GO FISHIN!!!
