Drab6 Fishing Charters - SALMON
The King Salmon is one of the most sought after trophies from September through November.
This is when Salmon will move into the river in an attempt to
spawn. Salmon fishing charters focus on the incredible Lower Niagara
River.This is the fishing trip
that Captain Steve Drabczyk specializes in, drift fishing. Drift fishing
egg skien on a 3-way rig is an extremely effective method here on the
Niagara River. This technique puts the rod and reel in
the anglers hands. You feel the power of these river monsters first
hand. Captain Steve will put you on the Salmon and control the drift of
the boat to keep you in the strike zone, All you need to do is hold on
for a fight. If you have never done this before, it is a must. These
fish will get your blood pumping,
The
excitement of having a King Salmon or Coho for that matter, on the end
of a 7'6" medium heavy fishing rod, bent in half, ripping off drag, is
undescribeable , You have too experience this yourself. Not to mention
the outstanding table fair a Salmon steak on the grill is.
The state record fish is 47lbs 15oz, while 20lb fish are
more common. The Coho Salmon, cousin of the Chinook normally does not
get as big as the King. However the world record catch of 33 lb. 7
oz. did come from Lake Ontario. These fish follow the Kings
up the river to spawn, along with the Steelhead (Rainbow Trout).
Devil's Hole, 2 mile north of
Niagara Falls, is the hotspot for the King Salmon. Steelhead, Brown
Trout are not out of the question either. A mixed bag of these species
on these fishing charters are common place, especially in November. All
fishing equipment including bait, tackle, fish cleaning and
packaging are included in this fishing charter adventure. This guided
fishing trip leaves from the very scenic Lewiston Landing boat launch in Lewiston, NY @ 115 N.Water Street 14092. Bring your camera, this is a fishing trip you won't soon forget. LETS GO FISHIN!!!
